Annapurna Base Camp

Annapurna base camp is one of the best preferred treks in Nepal. The trek is an adobe of various cultures and values and wildlife. Annapurna base camp gives you the most mind-blowing and close up view of Annapurna range, Machhapuchhre, Hiunchuli, and Dhaulagiri. In the spring season, it showcases varieties of beautiful flowers including the national flower of Nepal that is “Rhododendron”. Orchids, Machhapuchhre massif and the deepest gorge Kali Gandaki provide their beautiful company to you during the trek. 

How to reach the Annapurna base camp?

Nayapul is the starting point of the Annapurna Base Camp Trek. Local transportation (bus) is very frequently available from Pokhara to get to Nayapul. It takes only about 3 hours to reach Nayapul from Pokhara. However, if a person is starting their trip from Kathmandu, then they can either drive, or fly to Pokhara. If a tourist bus is preferred from Kathmandu, it takes about 6-8 hours to reach Pokhara. However, if a person took a flight it would only take about 20-25 mins to reach Pokhara.

Just after approaching Pokhara city, one always looks out for a remarkable view of Pokhara valley, emerald vegetation and outstanding mountain views.

Boating at Phewa Lake

It is mandatory to enjoy boating at peaceful Phewa Lake before heading for ABC trek. It is the biggest lake of the gorge with Tal Barahi Temple on its island, so people can soak up the beauty of Phewa Lake while enjoying the superb Machhapuchhre Himalayas.

Explore the Camp:

Annapurna Base Camp is supposedly the final point on ABC trek. You can walk around the base camp and meet many new people from all around the world with diverse nationalities and share the knowledge. Trekkers also get the opportunity to explore the Base Camp of Machhapuchhre, the holy mountain.

Go to Poon Hill for magical sunrise:

It is unbearable to miss the sunrise view from the Poon Hill during the beautiful Annapurna trek. Gazing the magical Annapurna Himalayan array turning into organic and reddish where the first rays of sun emit from the sphere. Waking up early in the morning and putting on the warm layers with a quick slog and you are there at Poon Hill from Ghorepani.

Natural Hot-Spring at Jhinu Danda

It is mandatory to bathe in Lukewarm water that rests the tired muscles in a natural hot-spring at Jhinu Danda. It is very widely believed that taking a bath at natural hot-spring; one can get rid of dermatological diseases. 

Spend a day at Ghandruk

One should always spend a day exploring the biggest Gurung settlement of Annapurna region. It is worth a shot taking some time and visiting the long-established houses and also interacting with local people. It is very popularly said that every single house of Ghandruk is a museum.

  • Camera: A 360* camera, for capturing the scenic beauty and people also prefer Binoculars (one within a large group is enough).
  • 2L Water Bottle per person.
  • Sweatshirts or winter wears during winters.
  • Torch/ Headlamp.
