But in some cases, for example in certain climatic zones, double glazing is not enough to further halve the heat loss. Then it is necessary to use a third plate that forms another chamber filled with Argon gas, thus reaching an Ug of 0.6 W / m 2 K.

Low-emissivity glass: advantages

To reduce radiation exchanges, glass sheets with low-emission deposits can be used. This is because solar energy enters the building primarily as shortwave radiation but, once inside, is reflected by objects back to the glass as longwave radiation.

A low-emissivity glass  (commonly also called thermal glass or insulating glass ) is a glass on which a film of metal oxides has been laid that effectively counteracts thermal dispersion, allowing the entry of heat of solar origin and preventing the escape of the energy emitted by internal radiant bodies, aluminium works in Dubai, reducing heating needs and costs in the colder months.

  • this reduction of thermal dispersion allows a considerable saving in the costs for heating and air conditioning of the internal environments;
  • a decrease in the use of heating and air conditioners leads to lower CO 2 emissions into the environment, with a consequent improvement in the greenhouse effect.

Changing or installing new,  more efficient, and performing windows, without considering the importance of glass is a big mistake.
